VoxFox* PCI Compliance
Sound Security:The Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Council has mandated rules governing the security with respect to the storage of credit card data. Calls recorded in a call center environment are “in-scope” for PCI compliance. Failure to meet the appropriate standards will result in the entire enterprise being out-of-compliance. The simplest way to address the PCI compliance issue is to simply not record credit card numbers. If the credit card data is not recorded in the audio files, then the process, the recordings and the entire Quality Assurance environment are out-of-scope and PCI rules do not apply.
The Quality Track VoxFox recording process can prevent the recording of credit card numbers without using dubious methodologies such as “data avoidance” that rely on the agent to turn-off the recording when sensitive data is being conveyed.
Additionally, the VoxFox software can be used to scrub sensitive credit card data from existing archived audio files at a minimal cost.
